A heartfelt thank you for all your support in 2024 where we continue to increase community engagement by helping, uplifting, and supporting those in our community who are deprived of certain services and resources.   We would not be able to accomplish so much without your support (summary below)!   Looking forward to 2025!

Donations

Schools: 468 clothing items, 100 outerwear, 40 boots, 2 beds/bedding.

Unhoused: Furniture, 20 boxes of housewares for new housing.

Monetary: $2500 from members (company-matched and members who donate throughout the year). $5000 fundraising

Loans: 5 loans under $500 for those unable to borrow from banks.

Other: Hygiene items for schools and unhoused.

Schools

Food Drive: Sponsored 11 families in School District 279 with groceries and gift cards.

Clothing / Snacks: Fulfilled 76 requests with 931 items (90% donated by MGGC members).

Unhoused Community

Events: Hosted summer picnic and Friendsgiving for ~30 unhoused with meals, gas cards, hygiene, and clothing items.

Monetary: ~100 gift cards for gas and food.

Car Repairs A service day to repair and service the vehicles of 11 unhoused community members

MGGC Volunteer Hours

Schools: 150+ hours gathering and delivering goods.

Unhoused: 200+ hours for distributing gas cards/snacks and assisting with paperwork.

Cross Volunteering: 45 hours + 9 hours of holiday shopping.

Fundraising: Bagging Cub Foods (24 hours). Twins concessions (40 hours).

Other Highlights

Reached 1000 members (149 new in 2024).

Conducted 6 board meetings.

Partnerships

Christian Brothers: Serviced vehicles of 11 unhoused community members.

Arbor Lakes Senior Living: Provided gas cards and treats for Friendsgiving.

Cross: Donated 327 lbs of food, 229 lbs of clothing, plus $500.

Women of Today: Partnered at 5 Twins games for fundraising. Garage sale for items to recycle items and save money.
